Amir Iqbal is the Chief Executive Officer of Sindh Engro Coal Mining Company (SECMC) and its community development arm, Thar Foundation. With over 35 years of diverse experience across Pakistan, Australia, and Africa, he is focused on advancing the company's vision of energising Pakistan's future by becoming a world-class, sustainable mining company while driving inclusive development in the Thar region.

Amir has managed various global and local mega brands and led cross-functional teams to deliver business results.

In his prior roles, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of Engro Agritrade, Chief Commercial Officer at Engro Fertilizers, and Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director of Bayer Pakistan. He also served as an Adjunct Faculty member at the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS).
