For this purpose, Hussain Dawood, on behalf of Dawood Hercules Corporation, Engro Corporation, and his Family, pledged a contribution in services, kind, and cash of PKR 1 billion for the short-, medium-, and long-term. The pledge will focus on disease prevention, protecting and enabling healthcare practitioners and frontline workers, enabling patient care and facilities, and bolstering livelihoods and sustenance of the most deserving in society

I Am The Change (IATC) is a flagship initiative of Engro Foundation, launched in 2012 to recognize and support the remarkable efforts of individuals and organizations working to improve the lives of underserved communities across Pakistan. The program serves as a national platform to highlight and amplify the work of changemakers addressing some of the country’s most pressing social challenges – including poverty, education, health, gender equality, and sustainable livelihoods. IATC bridges the gap between philanthropy and enterprise by celebrating both non-profit development organizations and social enterprises operating under sustainable business models. At its core, IATC is built on the belief that meaningful progress is driven by empowered individuals committed to collective well-being. By honouring these efforts, Engro Foundation aims to inspire a culture of social responsibility, foster collaboration across sectors, and scale impactful solutions for inclusive development in Pakistan.

EnVison is a platform to mobilize the Engro community of passionate, dedicated and ambitious employees, across all its facilities in Muridke, Dharki, Port Qasim, Karachi and Lahore. EnVison offers paid days off work for employees to volunteer their time for a non-profit cause. By enabling them to play their part in shaping the future of Pakistan, EnVison allows the employees to innovate and hones them into socially responsible leaders of tomorrow.

Thar Foundation has been established as a Section 42 Company under the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) framework with an objective to improve the lives of the underprivileged communities living in Tharparkar district of Islamkot in the Sindh province of Pakistan. The Foundation aims to improve live for the people of Tharparkar through graduated and sustainable interventions by adopting the UNDP’s Sustainable Development Goals framework to ensure that Islamkot becomes SDG-compliant by 2024 – six years ahead of the global timeline for SDG implementation.

Since these goals are a universal call-to-action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity, the Thar Foundation has adopted these Global Goals with a vision to uplift the communities in Thar and usher in a new era of peace and prosperity. By adopting the SDG Framework, the Thar Foundation has divided these 17 Global Goals into three key categories: Overarching Goals; Prioritized Goals and Advocacy Goals.
